All About Isla

I bought the posters here. Love this site. I made the three skirts in one day, they were really easy. From now on, I'm keeping all sewing simple, no complicated patterns, I'm just not good at patterns. Anyway, I love the circus fabric so much, it reminds me of a vintage story book. It's Isla's favorite too, she had to wear it right away. She continues to love animals so much. You'll never see a doll being pushed in her stroller although she did tell me the other day she wanted a doll that was on TV and informed me she loves dolls. We'll see. I bought her the most amazing life like rabbit for Easter, I can't wait for her to see it. I'll post it after Easter.

Sites I Love

I just added a few new websites that I love under "Sites I Love" over there to the right. The first one is Bake It Pretty. Just explore this site and you will see why I love it so. After I had kids, I lost the time and drive to bake but now that the kids are getting older, I can do it again and this site has renewed my love for decorating.
Also the Crafty Crow. This is where I get a lot of my craft ideas to do for the kids.
Check them out!

Isla's New Quilt

Isla's room is coming along. It's been painted, we took the crib out and replaced it with a big bed and I've been slowly decorating the walls. I made the quilt, it came out way more orange than I thought it would but I like it. In a few years I'm sure she'll cry for a princess or some other character comforter set (arrrg!!!). I just hung two new posters, so cute but don't have pictures of them yet. I bought them at the Land of Nod, she loves them so much, she kept hugging me and telling me she loved them. I'm working on some summer clothes for her! Something I swore I would stop doing because I'm just not good at sewing clothing. Pray for me!

I haven't done this is so long. I made the headband, not knowing if she'd even wear it. I say to her, "I'm going to put this on you and take some pictures, ok?" "Sure", was her response and she really surpirsed me and worked the camera. Of course she wanted me to get a picture with her duck, so I did. There's never an animal too far from Isla's clutch.

Random Pages

I'm usually caught up with my scrapbooking, I'm just always behind in the scanning of the pages. Some of these are old.
I'm going to try and post more often after discovering how many people still come on here. So check back often!
