Pink Pony Party

To celebrate our little girl turning 3, we gave her what she asked for: a pony party. I had this image in my head of how I wanted this shot to look and it came out like I envisioned, I was so happy and she cooperated too! (click on the pictures to make them larger)
My little goofball, I love her.
I always try to get a picture of them together before the festivities.
I love balloons, I have to have the balloons at every party. Isla got a huge unicorn, hearts and My Little Pony balloons.
The cake didn't come out like the picture, the rainbow was supposed to be pastel but it tasted great and she loved it.
A peek at my over decorated garage (it was supposed to rain, so we planned for it to be inside, after all that, it never rained)
The kids had fun outside.
Cousins
We played the games outside, Isla doing the classic clothespin drop.
Noah helping her at the Shooting Gallery.
Justin fishing.
The three siblings.
The pictures of the kids in front of their cakes are always my favorite.
Opening gifts. She got a lot of My Little Pony toys and lots of animal toys.
Here she is after the party playing with her scooter riding pony (Scootalaroo, I think). I was a great day, she did so well, no crying or complaints, just a lot of fun. I was so proud of her. She deserved all the hard work put into it, I do it all for her.

My Isla

I realized I didn't write anything thoughtful like I did Justin on his birthday (and I'm always one to keep it even between the two of them). My sweet Isla, I didn't think I could love someone so much that drove me so insane at the same time! She's demanding, stubborn, too smart for her own good, and loves to cry. Thankfully, for both of us, she's loving, hilarious, super girly, charming and has the face of an angel. I'm so proud of her, she potty trained so quickly and easily (once she decided it was time). I remember bringing her home from the hospital and it was just easy, I was so familiar with being a mom (having just done it two short years before) that I could just enjoy her. The birth of Justin was such a shock to my life, it took time to adjust but with Isla it was second nature. I loved that about bringing her home. She's my sweet little girl and always will be.

We've been busy

These pictures were taken on her actual birthday, the photo taking started inside, she wasn't cooperating by not looking and smiling...
Justin trying to keep her in line...
So we ended up outside, she wanted to 'go by the tree' like Justin when he had his pictures taken.
It started sprinkling so she wore her boots, we were safe from the rain under the trees...
I made her star headband with three stars and borrowed the idea from her, the amazing Emily Martin...
I'm busy planning her party, here's a peek at her crown:
Justin started Kindergarten and loves it. Anyone that knows me (and him) has heard me say a million times, "he loves school, he's excited to go", I'm even sick of saying it.
Here he is settled in and coloring. I told him I was leaving and to have a good day and he said, "Wait mom, I need a hug" and ran and gave me a hug. I felt he was in good hands but left reluctantly.
On the same day, Isla started dance lessons:
We packed her tap shoes in her new kitty backpack and off we went...
She kept checking to see if I was watching her through the window.
I had more fun than I thought I would watching, all the girls were so adorable.

Here she is in her tap shoes, liking the noise they made. Putting her in dance was something I pondered about for a long time and finally made the decision to go for it and I'm glad I did. She loves it.
Justin starts soccer this week, I'll post pictures when I take them.

Isla's Three

This is a picture of Isla right before leaving the hospital. She was loud then and even louder now. Her birthday was on Saturday, I took some sweet pictures but haven't downloaded them yet. Her party is this Saturday and I can't wait. I can't believe she's three, still a baby but almost not. I want her to stay tiny forever....
